TOP 5 TRAVEL TIPS FOR SEOUL - golden travels

I will be sharing part one of a two-part series on travel survival soul a soul is a bustling cosmopolitan Korean City it's the home of Korean drama kpop themed cafes and really cool modern technology you don't want to miss that one today I'm going to share with you my top 5 travel survival tips for navigating Seoul South Korea first getting around the metro system is huge a distinguishes Seoul Metro from all the other Metro and subway systems across the world  is their technology this is an example of one of their tea cards they do have standard sized cards like this is my Daegu metro card I don't have the Seoul one these cars are reloadable and reusable you'll put money on them which they call t-money
and you'll be able to use this on the bus some taxis will accept them some convenience Mart's will allow you to purchase things from them also if you're driving some toll booths will tape but they have a little sensory chip in them so they could be anywhere in your wallet or in your purse all you have to do when you go to the turnstile is to slap your purse onto that card reader and it'll let you right through there are two Metro apps that you want to download subway Korea Lite
which is a simple zoom in zoom out of boom map the next app is subway Korea it is a lot more of an intensive app it's free you'll plug in your start and your end destinations it'll mix it up and boom give you the most efficient route down to the minute it'll tell you what platform to stand on as well what exit to leave a definite must if you are going to tackle the Seoul metro taking a taxi in Seoul is relatively easy and inexpensive it is not as much as taking a New York taxi always take the taxis that have an international taxi sign on it I tend to avoid the black sedan taxis they're a little bit more expensive they're privately run some of these taxi drivers they've got like little riding gloves on
I would definitely strap myself in with my safety bill and kind of hold on I always do the drivers know English so I always recommend travellers to take the business card of their hotel since cars in Korea are double-sided they have the Korean translation as well as English on them communicating in Seoul being that Seoul is the International City in Korea more people speak English however there's still a lot of people who don't know English, therefore, taking a tribe survival phrasebook is always going to be helpful in learning a few phrases about how to get around taking a map so that you can point out that things learning how to mime and gesture very helpful now where to find Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi in Korea it's fast super fast in fact however finding free Wi-Fi can be a little tricky occasionally find them at coffee houses as well as cafes however often they require passwords from a Korean account if you need a dedicated Wi-Fi signal for your work the airport has mobile service providers you can rent an egg hotspot a mobile sim or you can just rent a Korean phone the rates per day on a phone tend to be very inexpensive I'll leave a link that will kind of give you a blog post on how to go about renting a phone and some examples of rates
thank you for joining me again today this helped you in planning your trip to Seoul and got you all excited keep an eye out for my next travel survival video on Seoul where I will share with you my top essential tips for navigating Korean culture but that was my knuckle I just popped my uncle look if you hear it as always your light shares and comments.
